Ee Gads…I can’t belive it’s been SO long since my last blog post. It’s been a crazy busy summer between “my day job”, lots of fabulous weddings, photoshoots and the launch of our new business Riverhood Rentals .  Life is just a teensy bit hectic these days.

Today I’m over the moon excited to announce the Spoken For PDX wedding show!  It’s a totally new and fresh spin on your traditional wedding event.  I’ve been jealous of all the cool California, NY and Austin wedding shows like Cream and Fizz and Frills.  But now…Portland is filling up on unique, non-traditional shows like Committed (which I’ll be participating in with a Style Scene) and Spoken For.  I’m just super bummed that we can’t participate in it this year – just a little over committed at the moment but really looking forward to showcasing their next year.  Spoken For  will be featuring some of the most talented folks in Portland including my most favorite twins – The Weaver House girls.  I only have a minor crush on their work and begged Kelty (formerly of Steep Street) to build my website but she had like a year waiting list b/c she’s that awesome! Other noteables that I have been dying to meet in person – Blue Window Creative, Laura Dart, Solabee Flowers and the list goes on!

Even though I can’t be “in” the show this year I will be there with bells on and can’t wait to see what these vendors come up with.  I’m also taking a few of your with me b/c I have some tickets to give away!  Who wants to go?  I know you won’t want to miss this event if you are a recently engaged or even day dreaming about being engaged.  Heck…even if you’re married it will be pretty fabulous.   Just leave me a comment below with your email address and you could be a lucky winner.

Now…this has motivated me to get my focus back on the Gorge wedding show I’ve been dreaming of curating all these years.  It was supposed to happen in November but I’ve been waiting for one of my favorite wedding vendor friends to hurry up and move out here so we can plan these kinds of things together (you know who you are – get out here already!).  It takes a small army to do these things right (don’t I know), good timing and lots of preparation to do it right!  It will happen – just stay tuned and in the meantime don’t forget to enter for your chance to win.  See you at Spoken For PDX!
